An introduction to Susan, my 1966 Triumph Vitesse 6

So why did I buy a Vit 6? Was it because I favour the underdog? Have I a fanatical devotion to the model? Nope, not really. I was looking to buy a Dolly Sprint or 2500 saloon but went to see the Vitesse first to whet the whistle.

I did everything you shouldn't do - I fell in love with the first car I saw, a car that I didn't bother to check properly, a car that was 20 years older than the one I wanted, a car with a short MOT, a gearbox that didn't work and with no brakes. I didn't even haggle with the owner! Do I regret it? Not at all, Susan's great and I like the fact that she's a rare old bird these days!
