Triumph built more 6's than any other Vitesse model - 22814 saloons and 8477 Convertibles. 31261 in total including 679 Sports 6 federal US models left the Canley works between May 1962 and September 1966.

Compare this to the Mk1 2Litre Vitesse and Mk2 production run: Vitesse Mk1 2-Litre: 10830 total (saloon: 7328 convertible 3502) Mk2 9121 total (saloon: 5649 convertible: 3472). That's right, they built only 9121 Mk2 2 Litre Vitesses in total and thats about the same number of cars that Peugeot at their height used to push out of Ryton every fortnight!
